How to maintain and maintain the power system of electric freight tricycles

1. Battery part
Charging management: Avoid over-discharge. When the power display is lower than 20% - 30%, it should be charged in time. Because over-discharge will cause battery plate sulfidation and shorten battery life. Control the charging time and charge according to the requirements of the battery manual. Generally speaking, the charging time of lead-acid batteries should not exceed 8-10 hours. Lithium batteries should avoid overcharging. Use a matching smart charger. After full, charging will automatically stop to prevent damage such as battery bulging.
Battery cleaning: Regularly clean the dust, dirt and electrolyte residue on the surface of the battery. You can gently wipe the battery shell with a damp cloth, but avoid water entering the battery. For lead-acid batteries, the battery pile is prone to corrosion. When white or green corrosion is found, it can be cleaned with baking soda water and a brush, and then coated with protective grease such as Vaseline.
Temperature control: The performance of the battery is greatly affected by temperature. In a high temperature environment, try to avoid charging the vehicle immediately after it is exposed to the sun. You can place the vehicle in a cool place to cool down before charging. In a low temperature environment, such as winter, the capacity of the lead-acid battery will decrease. Try to park the vehicle in a relatively high temperature place such as indoors. If conditions permit, you can consider using a battery heating device to improve the performance of lithium batteries.
2. Motor part
Waterproof and moisture-proof: The motor is a key component of the power system, and water should be avoided from entering the motor. After driving on rainy days, the moisture on the surface of the motor should be wiped off in time. If water enters the motor, it may cause short circuit, rust and other problems, affecting the normal operation of the motor.
Regular inspection: Check whether the motor connection wire is loose or damaged. If the connection wire is found to be loose, tighten it in time; for damaged lines, new wires should be replaced to prevent poor contact or leakage.
Lubrication and maintenance: For motors with bearings, add an appropriate amount of grease regularly (such as every 3-6 months) to ensure good lubrication of the bearings and reduce wear. But be careful to use grease that meets the requirements of the motor to avoid damaging the motor with improper grease.
3. Controller part
Cleaning and heat dissipation: Keep the controller clean to avoid dust and debris accumulation that affect heat dissipation. The controller generates heat during operation, and a good heat dissipation environment helps it work properly. You can regularly clean the dust on the surface of the controller and check whether the heat sink is normal.
Check the line connection: The line connection of the controller is also critical. Regularly check whether the connection lines between the controller and the motor, battery and other components are firm to prevent looseness from causing signal transmission errors or failures. At the same time, avoid squeezing and abrasion of the lines.
